(FROM THAT ARTICLE: Some question whether stronger unions, at the expense of budget and tax payers. “The public and unions do not have the taxpayers best interests. The rank-and-file members have no representation. They are forced to pay dues, and they are given to the Democrats. They’re forced from the system,” said Christina Tobin with the National Taxpayers United.)

Republican Senators Dillard, Lauzen, and Sandack repeat call for pension reform – Dan Cassidy
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A trio of local state senators repeated their call Friday for pension reform in Illinois. In a media conference call, state Sens. Kirk Dillard, R-Hinsdale, Chris Lauzen, R-Aurora, and Ron Sandack, R-Downers Grove, said that to get to the heart of the state’s budget woes the General Assembly needs to tackle the pension issue. “We must get to the hard work. . .which includes pension reform,” Lauzen said. The three are concerned that the state budget for fiscal year 2012 might include a deficit which would be closed by borrowing money. Sandack said he is encouraged by signs in the state House of Representatives of a bipartisan approach to cutting spending. Lauzen agreed that what is happening in the House is “healthy.” “There is a recognition of the need for spending cuts,” he said.)

(ONE OF THE FACTS: MANDATORY AUDITS OF THE NEW JOB-CRUSHING BUREAUCRACY SET UP UNDER DODD-FRANK. The agreement subjects the so-called Consumer Financial Protection Bureau created by the job-destroying Dodd-Frank law to yearly audits by both the private sector and the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to monitor its impact on the economy, including its impact on jobs, by examining whether sound cost-benefit analyses are being used with rulemakings.)

(DIERSEN: Tragically, the Democrat Party platform promotes homosexual activity big time. Tragically, most teachers are Democrats. How soon will Democrat teachers say that by definition, students are bullies if they oppose homosexual activity? (FROM THE ARTICLE: As Craven tells it, his father died when he was 4, and his mother joined a strict Baptist church: no dancing, no drinking, no smoking, no fun. No movies except for the rare Disney film. He went on to attend Wheaton College, a Christian school in Illinois, where he majored in English literature and movie viewing was grounds for expulsion. Then one night as a second-semester senior he snuck out to see “To Kill a Mockingbird,” then a new release, now a classic. He says he knew his mother would be crushed if he were caught.)
RASMUSSEN REPORTS
(DIERSEN: As Democrats and RINOs make welfare increasingly generous, how much higher do salaries have to be before welfare recipients who have little or no education or job skills before they will accept job offers — $30,000, $40,000, $50,000+ a year?)
