I am truly amazrd at how naieve americans can be when it comes to politics and world events. We seem to end our investigative activities about an issue (whatever it might be) at the ’second level’ and not pursuing to the next level of facts. Probably because the news media has a deadline to meet and their program directors, editors, producers,etc., are putting pressure to get the info out…ready or not.
Most of what is going on will go on according to a script written by power brokers anonomously and should anything occur that doesnt fit the script will be dealt with in a manner that results in returning to the script.
Most of the players are totally unaware of this higher level of power brokerage. Hillary and barrack are just small time players . They have no idea where they stand in this “play”.
The same applies to McCain. Both parties and all three players are like puppets on strings. What the “Power” decides suits their interests is what will happen…doesn’t matter who is running or what party is in control. The visible things we all see going on are of minor importance to these people…they are preoccupied with the big picture and many years ahead.
The next time you read something in the news beware of the shallowness of the facts…who wants you to believe what, and why. How does this story tie into the ‘big picture’ ? You might even want to try to predict what the overwhelming response will be from the “other side’.
You will soon start having some fun and discover how stupid most of it is.
Someone once said : “Let us linger here awhile amongst the
complete foolishness of things”. He or she was wise beyond our understanding. God Bless!

Right. The sky is not blue, either. Wake up–There are at least 3 South West Asian terror groups in Afghanistan and the Tribal Regions of Pakistan that have crescents as part of their logo or flag. In fact MANY of them do it, and many do it in a very subtle way, such as Hezbollah. Take a look (click here) (scroll down)

And that doesn’t even include all the Islamic countries which include the Islamic crescent in their logos.

That ‘crescent isn’t an Islamic symbol’ crap is only believable if a) you want people to believe it and you’re lying or b) you’re completely stupid or c) are completely unaware of symbolism in Islamic architecture.

The Crescent is not really an Islamic symbol.

The Ottoman Empire adopted it when it conquered the Byzantine Empire.

In Classical Greece, the crescent was often a symbol of Artemis the virgin huntress, who became conflated with Mary the virgin mother.

When the Red Cross expanded to Muslim countries, Iran and Afghanistan initially rejected the use of the red crescent symbol for its association with an important historical enemy.

Academia’s failing grade

In spite of a statement by 30 higher education organizations recognizing the importance of intellectual diversity, a recent survey by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni shows that not a single institution has taken concrete steps to further that goal.

On June 23, 2005, the American Council on Education and 29 other institutions of higher education issued a “Statement on Academic Rights and Responsibilities” affirming support for “intellectual pluralism and academic freedom.” The statement responded to growing national concern, underlined by a number of studies, about the one-sided political and ideological tilt of many college and university campuses. The groups hoped to head off legislative intervention by pledging that the universities would fix the problem themselves.

I think the study was aimed at Professors that had bias against ignorant students that belligerently interrupt the course with their “beliefs”.

It just so happens that Evangelicals, Mormons, and Muslims have a higher number of such brazen and irritating students.

Weird coincidence.
