News clips and upcoming event information:
— Scott Brown, Mark Kirk, Dan Cronin, DuPage County Republican Party news blackout – Dave Diersen
As everyone knows, newspapers and television stations claim to be in business to report the news, but just about all of them make it clear that they are in business to elect Democrats, and sometimes, RINOs. Obviously, the Democrats made it clear to the newspapers and television stations that they should not report that a) Scott Brown came to Dan Cronin’s and Mark Kirk’s and Lisa Wagner’s DuPage County on Friday evening, March 18, 2011; b) that Brown spoke to 550 Republicans at DuPage County’s 50th Lincoln Day Dinner; c) that Mark Kirk introduced Brown; d) that Judy Biggert, Dan Cronin, Mark Kirk, Peter Roskam, and Dan Rutherford spoke at the event; e) that the attendees included Congressman Randy Hultgren; State Senators Dillard, Johnson, Pankau, and Sandack and State Representatives Bellock, Connelly, Fortner, Pihos, Ramey, and Reboletti and Illinois Republican Party (IRP) National Committeewoman DeMonte and IRP State Central Committee member Claar and former statewide candidates Enriquez and Plummer and DuPage County officials Berlin, Bucholz, Curran, Fichtner, Formento, Grogan, Healy, Henry, Kachiroubas, Krajewski, Larsen, Painter, Pierotti, Puchalski, Ruscitti, Schultz, Siekmann, Whelan, Zay, and Zediker; f) that attendees took home an outstanding DuPage County Republican Directory which includes a full-page $225 GOPUSA ILLINOIS color ad on page 19 and a full-page $225 TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois color ad on page 60; and g) that Diersen estimates that at least half of the attendees either read GOPUSA ILLINOIS emails every day or have people monitor the emails for them. So why the Scott Brown, Mark Kirk, Dan Cronin, DuPage County Republican Party news blackout? Maybe it was punishment for letting Diersen attend the event. Maybe it was punishment for letting GOPUSA ILLINOIS and TAPROOT take out ads in the directory. Just kidding, but not completely. The most likely reason is punishment for Wagner’s decision to not give the newspapers and television stations access to Brown when he spoke at Kirk’s August 26, 2010 fundraiser in Lisle (see below).
— AUGUST 27, 2010 FLASHBACK: Scott Brown speaks at an outstanding fundraiser for Mark Kirk organized by Lisa Wagner Thursday evening, August 26, at the Lisle/Naperville Hilton; 275 attendees include Arndt, Bellock, Birkett, Boltz, Claar, Connelly, Cronin, Dillard, Ferguson, Fortner, Healy, Hinds, Hughes, Hultgren, Kachiroubas, King, Krajewski, Loftus, Martinez, Murphy, Oberweis, Ossyra, Prueter, Rebolletti, Ruscitti, Spitzzeri, Straub, Veenstra, Yurgaitis, and Zediker. Many thanks to Roger Claar for letting me use one of his six tickets so that I could attend the event which was “closed to the news media.” – Dave Diersen http://www.gopillinois.com

(DIERSEN: In the mid 1980s, when my wife and I gave up trying to have children, we did not adopt. My liberal Democrat GAO superiors, supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates held that against me. They argued that if you get married and then don’t raise children, you are a hypocrite or worse.)
(FROM THE ARTICLE: A new movie set in suburban Chicago tackles the subject of married couples who do not have children or ”D.I.N.K.S,” which stands for ”Double Income No Kids.” The cast is primarily from Chicago. Illinois native Robert Alaniz is the film’s director, producer and writer, and he and lead actress, Deborah Craft Proud, visited the ABC7 studio to talk about the upcoming premiere. The storyline of the movie focuses on a childless freelance writer who lives in a family-dominated suburb of Chicago. The writer decides to publish articles about discrimination against married couples without children, and his career skyrockets. But when one of his articles involves the town’s mayor, the writer lands in court on accusations of slander.)
(DIERSEN: While sadly, some unsubscribe to GOPUSA ILLINOIS daily emails to punish me, usually for my including something in an email that they do not like, I never unsubscribe anyone unless they ask me to. (DIERSEN: Trump may be willing to spend $600 million of his own money to get elected, but if necessary, the “poor” Democrats will spend $600 billion if not $600 trillion of there own money to reelect Obama.)
- Keyed into debate Pro-immigration group working on encouraging supporters to post talking points to offer counterpoints to negative comments on news stories – John Keilman
(DIERSEN: Overwhelmingly, “pro-immigration” individuals, organizations, and companies demonize and denigrate Americans. They specially demonize and denigrate older conservative White male Americans.)
(DIERSEN: I have been a NCCC member since 1990, but sadly, one of its most inactive members.)
(FROM THE ARTICLE: One lucky raffle ticket holder could become the owner of a brand new Corvette Grand Sport Coupe this summer thanks to the village’s plan to up its raffle limit from $50,000 to $75,000. The car will be the grand prize in a raffle organized by the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) during its 2011 convention in Tinley Park this June. With a price tag of more than $60,000, the car’s value would be too high to raffle off under the village’s current ordinance that says the maximum value of a single raffle prize is $50,000. Dave Seaman, trustee and chair of the Finance and Economic Development Committee, said the last time the fee was increased was in 2003. He cited inflation and the corvette convention for the ordinance change. The national convention, which is expected to draw around 1,000 visitors to Tinley Park, has raffled off a corvette each year for charity since 1977, said Patrick Dolan, the convention’s charity director. Since 1996, the proceeds have gone to the National Kidney Foundation to support their U.S. Transplant Games, a biennial sporting competition for athletes who have received organ transplants. “It’s a phenomenal experience,” Dolan said. “It’s a very worthwhile project.” After the cost of last year’s corvette, the club was able to donate about $40,000 to their cause. The club has already put its order in for this year’s white 2011 Corvette Grand Sport Coupe, he said. While the convention itself, June 17 – 24, is only open to club members, the raffle is open to the public. Tickets will be sold during a public event June 19, when the club will bring its convention and the prize car to downtown Tinley Park for a block party. The winning ticket will be drawn June 24, at the end of the convention. Tickets can also be purchased by contacting Dolan at 989-463-5891. They are $10 a piece or 3 for $25. The corvette convention will be the first event following the completion of the 58,000-square-foot expansion of the Tinley Park Convention Center that is expected to use the entire convention center. Dave Heinemann, governor of the club’s local chapter and director of the 2011 convention, said registration for the event is more than double what it normally is at this time of year. With registration continuing through May, he is optimistic the convention will draw a big crowd to Tinley Park. “We’re looking phenomenal right now,” he said.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: “I’ve been told by our attorney not to answer any questions,” Widman said. “I know what you’re referring to, and we’re referring all of those calls to our attorney.” Widman identified Don Tracy, a Springfield lawyer, as the corporation’s attorney. Tracy could not be reached for comment.)
CHICAGO HEIGHTS PATCH
(DIERSEN: My father worked in Chicago Heights 1941-1969; I was born in Chicago Heights in 1948; I washed dishes in Chicago Heights 1964-1966; and I pumped gasoline, sold tires, and sold Philco appliances in Chicago Heights 1970-1972.)

- DIERSEN HEADLINE: All the religions of the world discourage homosexual activity. The Democrat Party platform promotes homosexual activity while the Republican Party platform discourages it. Those individuals, organizations, companies, and countries that promote homosexual activity are far more motivated and far more aggressive than those that discourage it. Those who promote homosexual activity are anti-conservative anti-religious moral relativists who believe that their end justifies their means. The facts show that there are many Democrat plants and RINOs in the Illinois Republican Party (IRP), in the DuPage County Republican Central Committee (DCRCC), in the Milton Township Republican Central Committee (MTRCC), etc. The facts show the more that you do to discourage homosexual activity, the harder that they work against you. I am very proud to acknowledge that IRP, DCRCC, MTRCC, etc. Democrat plants and RINOs work very hard against me.)

— AUGUST 27, 2010 FLASHBACK: Why would Illinois Republican candidates, elected officials, party leaders, major donors, event organizers, etc. NOT want GOPUSA ILLINOIS to report on their events? – Dave Diersen http://www.gopillinois.com
GOPUSA and its Illinois Editor and TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois and its Chairman exist to help elect Republicans who can and will defend and advance the Republican Party platform. The Democrat reporters almost always refuse to report on Republican events unless they can spin their report to harm Republicans. When GOPUSA ILLINOIS reports on a Republican event, it a) describes the event as being “outstanding,” b) reports the date, time, and location of the event, c) reports who organized the event, d) reports who spoke at the event, e) reports what the event organizer said the approximate number of attendees were, and f) lists Republican candidates, elected officials, and party leaders who attended the event. While your GOPUSA Illinois Editor is willing to spend approximately 10 hours every day of what is left of his life, 70 hours every week, 300 hours every month, 3,650 hours every year, and 36,500 hours every decade to help elect Republicans who can and will defend and advance the Republican Party platform; while I am willing to spend thousands of dollars of my own money each year putting out GOPUSA ILLINOIS daily emails; while I give away GOPUSA ILLINOIS subscriptions free of charge even though they are worth at least $500 a year; while virtually every Republican candidate, elected official, party leader, major donor, event organizer, etc. in Illinois either reads the emails or has people monitor them; while RINOs continue to refuse to include me in their press advisory and press release lists; and while many continue to blame me for all problems that they and all others have had, are having, and will have, I am not willing to have to pay to attend Republican events as a reporter. Democrat reporters disapprove of me and argue that if a Republican event is closed to them, the event should be closed to me. Democrat reporters argue that one cannot be both a Republican and a reporter. I invite my critics to put their complains about me into a written “bill of particulars,” put their name to it, and give me an opportunity to respond. Why would Illinois Republican candidates, elected officials, party leaders, major donors, event organizers, etc. NOT want GOPUSA ILLINOIS to report on their events?
— They reject some, most, or all of the Republican Party platform and therefore, they disapprove of GOPUSA and disapprove of its Illinois Editor
— They are afraid of Democrat reporters and others who disapprove of GOPUSA and its Illinois Editor

— Why haven’t more conservatives left Illinois? – Dave Diersen
For many decades, the Democrats and the RINOs who run Illinois have made it very clear that they want conservatives, that is, platform Republicans, that is the base of the Illinois Republican Party, to leave Illinois. Why haven’t more conservatives left Illinois? My top ten reasons are:
— My ancestors have lived in Illinois since the 1840s. My mother and brother live in a home that my grandfather built in Crete in 1926 on land that my great great grandfather bought in 1864.
— I have lived in Illinois since I was born in 1948, in Wheaton since 1978, and in Milton Township Precinct 9 since 1984
— I earned all my college degrees from Illinois Universities — bachelors in management from NIU in 1970, MBA from Loyola in 1976, master in accounting from DePaul in 1980, and masters in financial markets and trading from IIT in 1997
— I earned all my professional certifications in Illinois — CPA in 1979, Certified Internal Auditor in 1981, licensed CPA in 1982, Certified Fraud Examiner in 1990, Certified Government Financial Manager in 1994, Certified Financial Services Auditor in 1996, and Forensic Accountant in 1997
— My wife and I have very few relatives and virtually all of them live in Illinois.
— My federal pension is not subject to Illinois income tax.
— The Republicans who run DuPage County, Milton Township, and Wheaton provide prosperity and safety.
— My wife has a job in Illinois.
— I am responsible for caring for my 80-year-old aunt who has Alzheimer’s.
— According to http://www.zillow.com, our home has lost 39% of its value since 2008 and lost $7,500 value during the last 30 days
