Paul Mitchell, conservative candidate for the 62nd District in Illinois, announced on Friday his one-week-long online fundraiser. He posted on his blog “Thoughts of a Regular Guy”, a post entitled, “One Week, One Thousand Dollars”. You can access it here. http://regularthoughts.blogspot.com/2009/07/one-week-one-thousand-dollars.html The paypal button is on the post, he’s asking for $5.00 or $10.00; whichever you can afford.

As he said in his post, “Many hands make light work”. How many times have I heard people complain about liberal politicians in Illinois on both sides of the aisle? This is a chance to do something about it; and it won’t break the bank. Thanks.

Beware members of the turncoat party

Paul Froehlich and Fred Crespo. Many loyal Republicans worked to get them elected because we believed they had the same values and goals as we did. We gave them one of the greatest rights we have – our vote.

Then one day they woke up and decided to betray us and become Democrats.

Democratic voters beware, they could do the same to you. The day after the election they may change parties again. The “Turncoat Party” has a nice sound, doesn’t it?

I thought it was funny and odd that Crespo would send out a mailer that says something about what Peggy Brothman, Fred Crespo’s Republican opponent in the 44th District supports. He alleges that she is a ‘typical republican’ who supports the ‘insurance lobby’.

But when you look at Crespo’s 2006 handouts from special interest groups, he has $4500 given to him by lawyers and lobbyists.

Brothman, by comparison, has little to report as far as donations.

Crespo received a whopping $80,000+ from Madigan’s machine in order to get him elected.

Isn’t it high time we went back to representative government and starting electing people who aren’t supported by the teacher’s unions?

This is what you find when you research Crespo’s donations to his 2006 campaign:  Total Raised- $170,295

He should be careful what he throws at Brothman, LOL…his record is public and available for all to see.

We can only expect more of the same BS if we don’t find a way of booting the democrats out…Crespo is attached to Lisa Madigan and got over $80,000 in 2006 from the democrat machine here.

Illinois is sick of debt and democrats only know how to make more of it.  It’s time we returned to representation in government here; their job is to SERVE, not to dictate and spend.  That’s why Peggy Brothman is the girl for me!  She spent 7 years in School District 54, and that’s a success story with a balanced budget.

Just imagine if someone like that was working for us in Springfield!  I just love the idea of that!

Here are seven reasons not to vote for Barack Obama.

[1] Obama wants to issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. He even advocated this while in the Illinois Senate.

[2] Obama is for gun control. Are you listening, hunters and folks who just want to protect their family in case their home is broken into?

[3] Obama approves of baby killing (abortion). He voted to lift the ban on partial-birth abortion.

[4] Obama has the former CEO and CFO of the failed Fannie Mae as financial advisors. They helped create this mess, and now they can tell him how to fix it?

[5] In 2005, when George Bush, John McCain and others were calling for tighter controls on lending institutions, Obama and others voted against it. Oh, and don’t blame this mess on Bush. Bill Clinton, a Democrat, was the president who pushed for loaning to those whose credit was less than stellar.

[6] Obama says he is a Christian, but he has also said, “I will stand with the Muslims if the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” (From his book “Audacity of Hope.”) Do you know what the Muslim goal is? World rule and making conversion to Islam mandatory or be killed. The Koran says this is OK.

[7] Obama has the most liberal voting record in the Senate. With Congress under Democratic control, in the interest of good checks and balances, we don’t need a Democrat for president.

Thanks to Ruth Wallen from Henderson, Ky for the tip.
